At Always Evolving, the belief is that YOU have the power to heal, evolve, and thrive, and I can help! Our sessions are collaborative and customized to your unique challenges, strengths, and goals. My areas of clinical focus include life transitions, relationship challenges, depression, anxiety, personal growth, self-esteem, grief/bereavement, trauma, educational/career concerns, stress management, and more. My approach is typically eclectic, and strengths based. I really enjoy working with clients who are above all committed and willing to do the work by being honest and taking responsibility for the role they play in their lives. Melanie Curtis is a National Certified Counselor and Certified Anger Management Specialist. She is licensed as a professional counselor by the Georgia Composite Board. She graduated with a master’s degree from Mercer University and has practiced within different settings that include all grade levels within school, Core Community Agencies, and clinical private practice. She also has experience facilitating trainings, workshops, and groups. She has worked with a psychotherapy group and is currently operating her private practice. Melanie specializes in anger management and helping individuals and their families heal from past trauma and gain a deeper understanding of related symptoms. Melanie has utilized evidence-based modalities that include Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Behavior Therapy, and a variety of other modalities. She takes an eclectic approach to meet each individual where they are. She has experience helping individuals suffering with life transitions, relationship challenges, depression, anxiety, personal growth, self-esteem, grief/bereavement, trauma, educational/career concerns, stress, and more.
